alright alright alright, so i have been a disneyland cast member for over 5 years, so that means lots of disneyland visits, which means lots of disneyland food. i’d like the consider myself a foodie, and i do not discriminate when it comes to delicious food. honestly, i feel like although a little overpriced, disneyland food is just overall really good, and if you have an annual pass or cast member ID, even better.
here are my top 10 disneyland foods that you have to try. (i will do a dessert and drink one soon)
- plaza inn fried chicken meal

plaza inn @ disneyland ($17.49)
okay you guys. this is by far my favorite meal at disneyland. if you have not tried it, you NEED to. it is honestly a little pricy, but it comes with a lot of food and is so dang good. it comes with 4 pieces of juicy fried chicken, buttery mashed potatoes, amazingly seasoned green beans and a biscuit. if you are starving after lots of walking around, i definitely recommend it. sharing a plate with someone is also a great idea. either way make sure you make a stop here to get some hot juicy fried chicken.
2. turkey leg

pc: kathryn wirsing
multiple carts @ disney california adventure & @disneyland ($12)
on the topic of yummy meat, i have never tasted such a juicy, tender, delicious piece of meat. funny story: i took my mom and grandma into the park around christmas time, and my chinese grandma tried the turkey leg, and on the day they left to drive back to northern california, she asked me to buy her 7 turkey legs to go. and i had to say no, but that speaks to how good these were. i tried a turkey leg at a state fair, and it was not nearly as juicy or good.
3. sun dried tomato chicken pasta

boardwalk pizza & pasta @ disney california adventure park ($11)
this pasta is so so good. i always ask for extra sauce! if you’re a big pasta person, i highly recommend this. the sauce is so good (ask for extra on the side), and the chicken and cheese are a great touch. the portion size is pretty big as well. it’s definitely super filling for one person. also if you’re a fan of the pizza port pasta, this one is pretty much the same.
4. chicken fusilli

pizza planet @ disneyland ($12)
another pasta, i know i know… BUT! this pasta is so yummy! the sauce is very creamy, and they give you a lot of pasta. i always have leftovers. i always ask for extra sauce on the side because i am really weird about my pasta/sauce portions and i feel like there’s never too much sauce until it’s soup LOL. i love that it comes with parmesan cheese and basil as well. definitely stop by here before or preferably after you get on space mountain.
5. cozy cones

cozy cone motel @ disney california adventure ($9)
honestly, i feel like this place is so underrated. cozy cones are one of my favorite snacks to stand in a line and eat. they have a couple different flavors. some are here to stay, and occasionally, they will have seasonal cones which makes it super exciting. i know they’ve had a taco cone, a green chile verde chicken cone, a meatball cone, you think of it, they’ll probably have it! i love that the contents inside are so good, and the outside is edible which makes it 10x better too.
6. lobster nachos

lamplight lounge @ disney california adventure ($21)
i’m currently drooling just thinking about these. nachos to the next level. when you’re ready to get a little alcohol in your system and want a nice relaxing lounge-y feel, stop by lamplight lounge for some yummy drinks and appetizers. this isn’t the cheapest dish to get, but something you should order for the table just because. YUM
7. bread bowls

royal street veranda @ disney california adventure ($11.50)
these bread bowls in the winter time……. THE BEST! you can choose between clam chowder, steak gumbo, vegetable gumbo, broccoli cheddar (sometimes)… OR (not on the menu) mac n cheese! that’s right. mac n cheese in a bread bowl! my favorite is the clam chowder and even though there’s no indoor seating, it’s great to sit out feel the cold weather and eat a nice warm soup in a sourdough bread bowl.
8. corn dogs

little red wagon food cart @ disneyland OR corn dog castle @ disney california adventure ($9-$10)
okay i need to start off by saying, i don’t EVER crave corn dogs…. until i step into disneyland. i honestly don’t know what it is.. or maybe i do. these corn dogs are so dang good. the crispy batter and the delicious warm insides is honestly the best quick snack. the corn dog caste has the hot link corn dog, the original corn dog, and a cheddar cheese stick. the little red wagon food cart always has a super long line, so if you’re in DCA, i recommend stopping by the corn dog castle because the line is generally shorter.
9. skewers

begal barbeque @ disneyland ($5-$7 per skewer)
this has to be the most underrated thing on this list. i feel like not a lot of people know about it. but right across from jungle cruise, you can find this blessing of a food. the only bad thing is, it’s about $6 per skewer and it’s not that filling. but you can order the rice plate that comes with rice, slaw and 2 skewers for $17. the bacon wrapped asparagus skewers are really good! the other meat skewers are really great and tender as well.
10. mickey waffle

carnation cafe @ disneyland ($13)
i have to give this waffle an honorable mention because it is SO DANG CUTE and just gets you into the disney spirit bright and early in the morning. if you’re lucky enough to snag a seat at carnation cafe, i’d definitely recommend getting this waffle (not just for the cute boomerang for your IG). it’s actually really good, and it comes with either bacon or sausage. i wish it came with eggs too, so it would be the perfect meal, but for those that like something sugary for breakfast, you have to try this!
that concludes my list of my top 10 favorite foods at disney. feel free to comment what yours is, or if i missed something on my list. no matter what food you get at disneyland, it is sure to be filled with love and lots of magic.
